'Ulana Gala: Weaving a stronger Maui Nui

Saturday, December 5th, 2026 - Old Lāhainā Lū'au

Join Maui United Way for ʻUlana Gala: Weaving a Stronger Maui Nui on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at the iconic Old Lāhainā Lūʻau. Inspired by the Hawaiian tradition of weaving, ʻUlana celebrates the partnerships that strengthen our community by bringing together nonprofits, businesses, donors, volunteers and community leaders.

Enjoy a moonlit feast under the stars featuring a multi-course culinary journey showcasing the flavors of Hawaiʻi, from traditional kālua puaʻa, laulau, fresh poke and poi to island-inspired entrées, handcrafted desserts and premium beverages. Paired with authentic Hawaiian music and hula, this unforgettable evening will celebrate the spirit of aloha while supporting programs that strengthen Maui, Molokai and Lānaʻi.

In the spirit of 'ulana, we invite guests to embrace the evening's theme by wearing Hawaiiana or locally inspired attire that celebrates the artistry of weaving and our island culture. Whether it's your favorite pāpale lauhala, beautifully woven accessory, or traditional or contemporary island wear, we hope you'll help bring the spirit of ʻulana to life.

Together, we will weave hope, opportunity and resilience for generations to come. Individual tickets are $300, and tables for eight are available starting at $2,000, offering a meaningful opportunity to entertain guests while supporting Maui United Way's work across Maui County.
